Watching the Game of Thrones preview, I had an epiphany (that wasn’t really much of an epiphany at all- more like a slow boiling realization):
Many of the stories I love, enjoy, and want to share/bring life to, etc. really need a film or TV format to tell properly. Which led me to ask: if I want to do things like “Game of Thrones”…why am I devoting myself to theatre? Is there a good segue between the two?
Of course there is. Everything we do is valuable.
Not that dramaturging a play about Robots doing Ibsen isn’t the coolest thing ever—because it basically is—but the chance to dramaturg something like Game of Thrones?
Yeah. Gonna do that at some point in my life.
