Rounding 4 am, struggling through a couple of nights of Insomnia. I’ve got an empty house here: roomate and girlfriend are both gone for a month, and I think just the awareness of the emptiness is making me a little restless. Lord knows I’ve slept in empty apartments before.
Final round of “Hamlettes” auditions tomorrow–maybe that’s keeping me up too. Will keep ya’ll posted on that.
Saw Eclipse Theatre co’s production of “After the Fall” tonight–fairly titanic piece of theatre. Despite his claims otherwise, it was fascinating to watch Arthur Miller work through some of his personal demons vis a vis relationships on stage—I was suprised at how many resonated closely (and uncomfortably) with me.
Mostly the fact that dating Marilyn Monroe was a bittersweet and chaotic part of my life.
No, but seriously folks–give it a read, and if you’re in Chicago right now, go see it—two or three more performances this weekend, before they close.
I should give sleep another try.
